DIRECTIONS TO MAISON DE MAITRE, LA CAUMETTE



FROM CALAIS you need to follow signs for PARIS, if you come tunnel way you need to follow A16 DUNKERQUE at JUNCTION 18 pick up A26 PARIS. Should pass ST.OMER and BETHUNE, onto ARRAS the road now changes to A1 PARIS.

Approach PARIS on A1.  Around (or just after) JUNCTION 6 pick up signs for A3 BOBIGNY.  You are heading East of Paris at this moment.

Follow in the direction of BOBIGNY then LE RAINCY and on to BAGNOLET.  



This is the PEREPHERIQUE EST AND SUD (East and South). Afraid there’s no escaping this road, it’s the only way around Paris.

Follow PEREPHERIQUE SUD all the way around passed PORT D’ITALIE and onto GENTILLY and you should see signs for A6a.  L’HAY LES ROSES and on to WISSONS.  

You now need the A6 to CHILLY MAZARIN and should follow signs for A126 PALAISEAU.  This is just for a short time until you see A10 ORLEANS. 

At ORLEANS you need to change motorways onto the A71 and start heading SOUTH again.  Look for signs for BOURGES and CLERMONT FERRAND.  CLERMONT would be a good place for you all to crash out for the night if you can make it that far..and it’s only about 4  hours max from us. If you want to stop sooner then RIOM is nice too.

At CLERMONT the road turns into the A75 and basically this road will take you nearly all the way to us.



You need to come off the A75 at JUNCTION 52 LODEVE (Junction 53 is not up and running yet) Follow for BEDARIEUX D35. Only about 40 mins away now, bet you’re getting excited!  Stay on D35 through LUNAS and LE BOUSQUE-D’ORB and on to BEDARIEUX. 

At BEDARIEUX it’s straight across the first roundabout and take next main left [funny junction and you must give way] turning following signs for CENTRE VILLE.  Cross the bridge over the river and follow road round to right, then straight on down main street to T junction at end. Turn RIGHT and road bends to left.

  Stay on this road all through the village until you come to a roundabout with a metal wheel sculpture thing on it and take first exit. This is a good time to ring me and I will put the kettle on.

Follow road up hill and though the tunnel…only minutes now.. just a few more bends, you should be able to see the village up to your right, there is a sign on your right. Only a small one, saying LA CAUMETTE.

 Turn right here and follow lane, the first house you come to is having work done , turn right and up to the Square and we are next to the tiny little church, with Renault Megane outside,  park  against the wall as near as you can.
